Terms of Service
Hibachi Heat, Florida · Effective 2026 · Last updated October 27, 2026
These Terms apply when you submit a booking request through our scheduling page or website and when Hibachi Heat Party provides an at-home hibachi service to you. By submitting a booking request, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not submit a request.
1. Service Booking
We’ll do our best to schedule your event for the date and time you selected. If our chef team is fully booked during that period, we’ll contact you to find an alternative time that works for you. Please allow a 30–60 minute adjustment window around your selected start time while we finalize the chef’s schedule. Once we confirm chef availability for your selected start time, we’ll send instructions for the $50 deposit, which locks in your date and time. After the deposit is received and we send your confirmation email, your booking is finalized. We’ll then confirm the guest count, final menu, final price, and any applicable travel fee with you.
- A booking is confirmed once we receive the $50 deposit and send your confirmation email. The deposit holds your date and time. When the event takes place as scheduled, the deposit is applied toward your final bill. If you cancel or reschedule, the terms in section 3 apply instead.
- Short-notice requests, including requests made the day before or the day of the event, are subject to availability and are accepted at our discretion. If we accept one, customer service will contact you to confirm.
- Confirm your final guest count and meat selections at least 48 hours before the event, or at the time we confirm a short-notice booking. We may not be able to accommodate changes after that.
- Requests for extra service, added time, or other changes on the day of the event cannot be guaranteed.
2. Payment
- The balance is due in cash to the chef on the day of the event, unless customer service agrees to another arrangement in writing.
- Prices do not include gratuity. Gratuity is accepted in cash only.
- If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact customer service within 24 hours of the service and we will look into it.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling
We understand that plans can change. Even so, the event must be coordinated, the chef scheduled, and the food prepared in advance. To cancel or reschedule, contact customer service; new dates depend on availability.
Your deposit
- More than 72 hours before the event: your deposit is refunded in full, by the same method you paid it, within 5–10 business days.
- Between 24 and 72 hours before the event: your deposit is not refunded. It becomes a $50 credit toward a booking made within the next 6 months, counting from the day you cancel. The credit cannot be transferred to another person and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Within 24 hours of the event: your deposit is forfeited.
If we accept a booking with less than 72 hours' notice, the event may already fall inside one of the windows above on the day you book. Those windows are measured from the event, so they apply to short-notice bookings too.
4. Setup & Requirements
Our chef arrives with the grill, the food, and everything needed to cook at your home.
The host provides:
- Tables and chairs for all guests
- Plates, utensils, and napkins
- A level, stable, and safe cooking area
- Access to a power outlet within reach of the cooking area
All of this must be ready before the service begins.
Children and pets must stay away from the cooking area.
5. Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
You are responsible for telling us about any food allergy, dietary restriction, or ingredient sensitivity of any guest when you book, or at least 48 hours before the event.
We take reasonable precautions when preparing food, but our cooking environment handles many ingredients, including soy, wheat, shellfish, eggs, and nuts. We cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free of trace allergens or cross-contact.
If you do not tell us about an allergy or restriction, we are not responsible for any reaction that may occur. If you do tell us, we will work with you to find a suitable alternative where possible, but we may not be able to accommodate every restriction.
6. Weather Policy
We cook rain or shine.
In the rain, the host provides a dry, well-ventilated area under cover so the chef can continue cooking.
If there is no suitable cover, or the site is unsafe or unprepared, we may reschedule or cancel the event under section 3.
7. Travel Fee
Our South Florida base is in Fort Lauderdale 33309.
We calculate the travel fee on the shortest driving route from our base to the service address, as determined by a commercially reasonable mapping service.
- Within 30 miles: no travel fee.
- 30 to 50 miles: a travel fee of $30 to $50 applies, based on distance.
- More than 50 miles: contact customer service to confirm whether we can serve your address.
8. Service Timing
Our chef will arrive at your residence as scheduled and will begin the service promptly at the agreed-upon start time. Service typically lasts 60–90 minutes, depending on the number of guests.
If the service is delayed due to the host's circumstances, such as a late start, an unprepared setup, or interruptions, additional waiting fees may apply depending on the length of the delay and the specific situation.
9. Safety & Liability
The chef cooks with an open flame and with equipment that reaches high temperatures. The host is responsible for keeping guests, children, and pets at a safe distance from the cooking area and for making sure that area stays stable and suitable.
We are not responsible for damage to your property caused by heat, grease splatter, smoke, or other normal cooking activities that are an inherent part of hibachi service.
We are also not responsible for damage caused by conditions that already existed at your home before we arrived, including but not limited to unstable or uneven surfaces, cracked or heat-sensitive countertops or flooring, pre-existing fire hazards, or inadequate ventilation.
We may pause, adjust, or stop the service if conditions become unsafe or prevent the chef from working.
10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for a failure to provide the service caused by circumstances outside our control.
Force majeure events include, without limitation, natural disasters, outbreaks of disease, government action, and transportation failures.
If we cannot perform due to a force majeure event, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable.
We will also offer to reschedule your event or provide an alternative.
You may choose to have your deposit refunded or applied to a future booking.
11. Text Messages
By giving us your mobile number and accepting these terms when you book, you consent to receive text messages from us about your inquiry, your booking, reminders, schedule changes, and customer support.
Message frequency may vary depending on your booking activity.
Message and data rates may apply.
You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or reply HELP for help.
12. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The terms in effect at the time of your booking confirmation govern your service.
